Warsaw step by step
Polostour > Tours > Warsaw > Warsaw step by step

I will gladly be your guide to Warsaw’s must-see places and its past. In Kraków Suburb you will understand why this street can be called “the history of the whole of Poland”, and in the revitalized Old Town you will listen to legends and find yourself in the Middle Ages. A separate topic will be the worldview of Poles and the way of life of the Warsaw people. Such an informative first meeting with Warsaw will allow you not only to get to know, but also to feel the city and the country from the inside.

What to expect

The main sights of yesterday and today
In 3.5 hours you will discover the main things about Warsaw’s complicated fate, and its iconic places will be the backdrop for the stories. We’ll start with the history street Krakowskie Suburb, where we’ll talk about its name and visit its churches. We’ll walk in Chopin’s footsteps: you’ll learn about the composer’s first concert and the burial of his heart. We will also remember Copernicus and the President of Poland – you will see where he lives and works. In the Old Town, immersed in the medieval flavor, you will “get acquainted” with the Warsaw dragon and other legends, as well as walk along the fortress walls and look at the New Town, which is more than 600 years old.

Get oriented in the city and admire the panoramas
I will tell you how to spend your time in Warsaw, where to have a delicious dinner and which museums to visit. And to visualize the map of the city, you will visit two observation points: the tower of St. Anne’s Church and the roof of the city library. If you wish, we will continue our walk along the Vistula embankment, where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the historic center.

Polish culture and Poles
One of the topics will be the traditions of my country and the distinctive character traits of the people of Warsaw. You will understand how major events in the past of the country and the capital have influenced the outlook of Poles and city dwellers. We’ll also talk about modern life – mores, habits and quirks.
