What to expect

“Business cards” of the city
You will find yourself in the heart of Warsaw – the Old Town with the colorful Old Market, cozy cafes and souvenir shops. You will see the fortress walls of Barbakan, the Presidential Palace, Warsaw’s most famous churches and Castle Square, where you will discover the history of the restoration of the Royal Castle. You will visit the Saxon Park and walk along the Royal Route, the street where kings used to enter the capital. I will tell you a touching story about how Warsaw was rebuilt by local people after the Second World War and help you to feel the atmosphere of the city through its complicated history. And of course, I will show you the best panoramas of Warsaw for great photos!

Unusual places and urban legends
You will learn stories about Warsaw and fascinating facts that are not written in guidebooks: why the symbol of the city, the Little Mermaid, holds a sword in her hand, where the Dalai Lama dined, where the heart of the genius Chopin is buried and much more! You will see the places depicted in the paintings of the famous artist Canaletto, walk along the staircase street, see the narrowest house in Warsaw and find out where and how to make a wish to make it come true.

I’ll provide you with a map of the city and a mini-guide for independent walks, give you a Warsaw secret and tell you where you can drink delicious hot chocolate and try “Russian pies”. You will learn about the national traditions of Poles, their culinary preferences and favorite meeting place in Warsaw. And maybe even learn a few words in Polish!
